Reflections on Twelve Years of Samtools

As a software developer and bioinformatician at the University of Glasgow, John works on analysis pipelines for cancer sequencing data that are used in the Precision Panc clinical trials platform. Previously he worked at the Wellcome Sanger Institute, where he maintained Samtools. John continues to contribute to Samtools and other open-source bioinformatics tools.
